Galip Dere beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 118th place out of 182 beaches in the Antalya region 123.4 km away from its center, the city of Antalya. It is one of the beaches of Alanya settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with green water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Growing up in Alanya, I have to say that the sea here is not the best option for swimming. The water is quite shallow, making it more suitable for walking than swimming. Even if you venture out further, the sea remains shallow enough for your feet to touch the ground. Additionally, the water can be quite murky and dirty, especially during the summer season when it becomes more crowded. In fact, some even speculate that the Covid-19 virus may have originated from here. The beach itself can be quite unpleasant, with litter and animal waste scattered about. It's definitely not a place I would recommend for a leisurely stroll or a relaxing day at the beach. The municipality should take action to clean up and improve the area. Luckily, there are much nicer beaches in Alanya that are worth visiting. While the beach may be cleaner in the winter, it's still not ideal for swimming. Overall, I would suggest exploring other options for a better beach experience.

During our five-day stay in a tent, we were greeted by the stunning view of the beach every morning. This particular beach is ideal for those who are learning to swim as the water is calm and inviting. Not only is it a clean and beautiful spot, but the sand is also fine and perfect for lounging on. The only minor inconvenience we experienced were the occasional loud voices in the evenings. Overall, this beach is a must-visit destination for anyone seeking a peaceful and enjoyable seaside experience.
