Although this beach offers great amenities like a free council-run cafe, changing rooms, showers, and disabled access, it is unfortunately littered with trash, including cigarette butts. Additionally, my daughter had an unpleasant experience here as she was stung by a jellyfish and stepped on a sea urchin.
This beach is great because it offers a private changing area and free beach umbrellas. They also have a self-service coffee station where you can grab a drink or a snack like a sandwich or pizza. Just be aware that the sand is a bit rocky, so your towel might get dirty when it's wet.
Although the beach has potential to be a pleasant retreat, the unpleasantly deafening music emanating from various clubs in the vicinity disrupts any possibility of tranquility. Furthermore, the beach is littered with an abundance of garbage both on the sand and in the water. It is disheartening to see that someone is invested in fostering such an uncomfortable environment.
Bodrum Yalikavak's beach is truly lovely, and it boasts brown sand, which is a unique feature.
Upon arrival, it becomes evident why this beach is not heavily populated and without a fee. The water is contaminated with plastic and debris scattered throughout, the sand is littered with cigarette butts, and the ocean floor is obstructed by numerous large rocks. Additionally, there are multiple pipes discharging unknown substances into the sea, and it is unclear if these are sewage.
