Bodrum Resort beach

During our summer holiday, we spent a total of 10 days at Bodrum Park Resort and our overall experience was positive. The resort is situated in a secluded area, surrounded by beautiful forests. The sea is absolutely stunning and exceptionally clean. There are two options to access the sea, either through a lovely beach or a pier. We were always able to find shade, which was crucial for us as we were accompanied by our one-year-old baby. The food at the resort was also fantastic, especially at the main restaurant. However, the service could be improved. While there were many friendly waiters, there were also quite a few who could be perceived as rude, particularly at the beach bar and restaurant. We also noticed a difference in how Turkish and foreign tourists were treated. Another drawback of the resort was the frequent occurrence of items such as ice cream, coffee, and certain drinks being completely consumed and unavailable at the beach bar, coffee corner, or sweets corner. This is unacceptable for a concept that claims to be ultra all inclusive and a five-star hotel. Considering these factors, I believe the rating of just under 4 on Google is fair. If you can overlook the mentioned complaints, I would recommend Bodrum Park Resort. Overall, we had a pleasant vacation there, primarily due to the exceptional natural surroundings and the beautiful sea.

It was a fantastic vacation, even though it was just the start of the season in Bodrum. The drive from the airport takes about an hour, so it's actually quite reasonable. As you get closer to the hotel, it becomes more isolated and even more lush with greenery. The hotel is located on a hillside and blends in perfectly with the surrounding nature/forest, which is why there are trees in certain buildings (with notches in the roof) and some steep paths. The bay below the hillside is exclusively used by the hotel (although parts are open for excursions), and you can enjoy a private beach made of sand and gravel, or relax on one of the two wooden footpaths. The rooms have recently been renovated and are very comfortable. There are regular double rooms, family rooms with a bedroom and two bunk beds in a second room, and family rooms with two regular bedrooms. Some of the latter are still undergoing renovations, but they are expected to be completed by summer. All of the rooms have either a balcony or a terrace. The balconies in the regular rooms of the main building are very small, only suitable for standing (and maybe smoking, as ashtrays are provided in every room). The bathrooms are nice and equipped with everything you need: a shower, toilet, sink, mirror, and towels. Nothing extraordinary. The service staff is exceptional and caring. They strive to fulfill every request, even when there are language barriers. Most of them only speak Turkish, with limited English proficiency. However, it is sufficient for ordering drinks at the buffet restaurant, and the menus in the à la carte restaurants are available in multiple languages, including Turkish and English. Some even have German translations. As for the bar staff, they are mostly Turkish as well, but they are knowledgeable about most drinks, unless they are too fancy. There are a few male staff members who speak English quite well and may assist you when needed, depending on their availability. Our personal favorites were the Starbucks coffee near the pool (open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM), the freshly made waffles (from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM), the freshly brewed Turkish coffee (available all day), and the selection of baklava and biscuits at the lobby bar (from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM). Additionally, we had an exclusive dinner experience just for the two of us. Originally, it was supposed to be the Turkish à la carte dinner from our booking, but since the restaurant was still undergoing reconstruction after the recent storms, they arranged a special dinner in a nicely decorated area of the restaurant. The entire à la carte staff team (as they referred to themselves) took care of our elaborate 5-course dinner. We had a wonderful time at Bodrum Park Resort, and even the manager (who is proficient in German but lacks English) took great care of us and all the other guests. He greeted everyone by name whenever he encountered them and had a good rapport with the staff as well. Right outside the hotel, there is a bus station where the local dolmus, heading to Bodrum city, stops. The timetable for both directions can be found in the lobby, or you can simply ask the manager or reception for assistance. The dolmus costs about €1 per person per trip, and it's better to pay with a card when on the bus. The drivers prefer minimal cash on board, hence the use of card readers. All national and international credit cards are accepted, except for Amex. Additionally, it should be noted that using the safe box in the room costs €2 per day, unless it is included in your booking. We will likely return and stay again.

This is a resort located just 15 minutes away from the main city of Bodrum. It offers a very relaxing atmosphere and excellent services. Due to my injury, the staff was able to accommodate me with convenient golf cart transportation to and from the beach and anywhere else I needed to go. The rooms were extremely clean, although the bathroom shower had a significant leak. The room service and maintenance staff attempted to seal the leak with a cork gun, but it was not effective. It would be better to send a professional plumber to fix the issue. We were given an exceptional room that was suitable for my handicapped disability, with close and easy access to the hotel lobby and restaurant. The food was generally good, but the desserts could have been tastier and of higher quality. They were actually quite terrible. The buffet food, on the other hand, was outstanding. However, there should be more monitoring to ensure that old food is not served and that fresh food is always available. Serving old food reflects poorly on the hotel. The table service needed more attention in terms of cleaning tables and tableware. It was quite unsatisfactory. On windy days, it was difficult to enjoy a nice meal as things would fly off the tables, making it uncomfortable. I don't want to give the hotel a bad rating, but these minor issues can affect one's stay. If improvements are made in these areas, people will surely return. Overall, I gave high ratings, but there is room for improvement. I will come back to see if these things have changed. One thing I can say is that the fish dinner recommended by the hotel manager was exceptional and created a romantic atmosphere for me and my wife. We enjoyed three hours of great food and service. This truly deserved a 5-star rating!

The food was extremely disappointing. Despite a wide variety of options, unfortunately, none of them were edible. The line for tea was consistently long, and you had to choose between having warm food or warm tea. Additionally, there was a lack of cutlery on the tables. There was no responsible manager in the restaurant to address important issues. Toothbrushes were not provided. Although the waiters were doing their best, there were too few of them to handle the large number of customers. The rooms did not have duvets, only small bedspreads that were used as duvets and quilts, even though the temperature outside was only 17 degrees.
