The beach is great for swimming. The water is clean and warm, and it's somewhat clear, allowing you to see the bottom as you wade in. We were aware of the presence of sea urchins, but fortunately, we didn't encounter any during our visit, possibly due to the tide and time of year (we went in mid-March). The sand is soft with only a few scattered rocks. The water is deep enough for swimming, and although there are currents, they are manageable. Overall, it is highly recommended for swimming. When we visited on a Saturday afternoon, it was pleasantly quiet. There are several beach restaurant/bars to choose from, mostly affiliated with hotels.
I can't comprehend why there are so many negative reviews, but in my opinion, this beach is absolutely breathtaking! The water is crystal clear and tranquil, and the entire area is impeccably clean. Although there are resorts and restaurants lining a significant portion of the beach, it still maintains a relaxed atmosphere and remains unspoiled. Without a doubt, this is one of the most stunning beaches I have ever come across in Thailand.
The beach has its own unique beauty.
The beach is truly beautiful. However, it's important to be cautious of sea urchins during low tide since the water is quite shallow (I spotted three of them). Fortunately, we didn't encounter any sand flies when we visited on February 20th. Although seaweed does wash up on the shore, it isn't always cleaned up in certain areas. Additionally, there are some places where litter is left unattended, which can be quite frustrating considering the beach's beauty and potential.
The beach is lovely and not overly crowded. However, be cautious of sandflies.
