Listen up, folks! If you're sporting a white or black complexion, steer clear of this beach. It's a members-only club for the Asian crowd, complete with exclusive water and sand. Don't bother flashing your passport – the bouncers are only interested in the color of your skin. So if you're not Asian, you're better off hitting up a beach where all races are welcome. It's a shame, really – we were hoping for a little sun and sand, but I guess we'll just have to settle for a more inclusive spot.
The beach is truly lovely, but it is not easily accessible to foreigners. However, there are several food shops nearby and the surrounding area is lush with greenery. The beach is owned by the Royal Navy, which means that there are checkpoints along the way to ensure security.
This stunning beach boasts crystal clear azure waters and soft, powdery sand that feels like silk. The shallow waters extend quite a distance from the shore, making it ideal for children and non-swimmers to frolic and play. Visitors can rent kayaks for a nominal fee of 100B per hour for two people or 150B per hour for three people. The beach is home to a plethora of small restaurants that serve delicious Thai cuisine, refreshing juices, cold beverages, and beers. However, it's important to note that this beach is only open to locals, and foreigners are not allowed. A small entrance fee of 20B is required to gain access to the beach. If you're in Bangkok, Pattaya, or Chonburi and looking for a relaxing weekend getaway with your family, this beach is an excellent choice. It's approximately a 2-2:30 hour drive from Bangkok, so it's recommended to arrive before noon or after 4 pm to avoid the scorching sun.
Upon arriving at the beach, I noticed signs that read foreigners are prohibited or no entry for foreigners, which left me feeling uncertain about the beauty of the area. Unfortunately, there was no explanation provided regarding these restrictions, leading me to believe that the beach was only accessible to Thai citizens.
Although this beach is undeniably stunning, it is regrettable that non-locals are not permitted to visit. This is due to the fact that it is a military base, and only those with access to Haad Sai Kiew are allowed to enjoy its beauty. However, there is an alternative way to reach the beach by parking your car and walking, but be warned that many foreigners have reported being kicked out.
