My family stayed overnight at this beach. The room we had was quite comfortable and the view of the sea was absolutely breathtaking. The people living near the resort were mostly fishermen, so it was interesting to observe their way of life. One of the highlights was the food prepared by Chef Duck himself, which was incredibly tasty. I really enjoyed the experience of dining by the seaside and staying in rooms with a view of the ocean. I definitely plan on returning to this place whenever I get the opportunity.
A laid-back and relaxing restaurant with a view of the ocean.
It was an incredible experience! Even though I reside in Phuket, this beach was undoubtedly one of the most rejuvenating, pristine, and stunning locations in Thailand. The owner was extremely accommodating, and the food was exceptional and reasonably priced. I'm already making plans for my next escape to this place that I would love to consider my home! The Soi dogs were all playful and friendly, and the local Thai residents took great care of them. The bungalows exceeded my personal needs, as I would gladly sleep on the hammock. 😂 Definitely deserving of a 5-star rating!
Access: Accessible via Anawhata Rd, where there is parking. Accessible via North Piha Rd through the Laird Thomson Track (more challenging route). Accessible via the coastal track from Anawhata or Piha (at low tide only). About Beautiful and usually empty beach. No lifeguards. Strong currents, swimming only safe during high tide. Tidal pools on the Piha side, where you can find crabs, starfish, and anemones. Cave and sandy pools on the Anawhata side. Short track with panoramic views. Recommendations: Wear sturdy shoes with good grip for the coastal track. Be aware of the tides. Do not swim during low tide. Check the surf report. Be careful of the waves on the Piha side. Do not disturb nesting birds. Bring everything you need, as there are no toilets or water on the beach. There is parking and a toilet at Anawhata Rd. Additional Information: Anawhata Rd is a gravel road, narrow and winding. Important: Use caution on the beach, as some areas can be dangerous.
I really appreciate how peaceful Ekkanek beach is. It's perfect for unwinding and enjoying a good book by the shore. However, it would be even better if they could update the huts and other areas. The food there is absolutely delicious, and I thoroughly enjoy the company of the maid/chef.
