Praia da Ponta Azeda is located on the South Atlantic Ocean (part of Atlantic ocean) and it is in the 140th place out of 228 beaches in the São Paulo region 132.8 km away from its center, the city of San Paolo. It is one of the beaches of Ilhabela settlement, just 8.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

The beach is absolutely stunning and boasts a generally pristine appearance. Unlike other nearby beaches, it is not as crowded, making it a perfect spot for those seeking a more peaceful and relaxing experience. While access is easy, parking can be a bit of a challenge due to limited spaces. However, a parking lot is conveniently located near the entrance, albeit at a cost of 40 reais until 8 pm. The waters are calm with minimal waves, and there is a kiosk offering refreshing drinks and snacks. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery, and a pier is available for those who enjoy jumping into the water. Although the water may not be crystal clear, it is still enjoyable. A 20-minute walk will take you to Armação beach, and there are also some boats parked on site.
