It is one of the beaches of Vila Velha settlement, just 3.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a straight coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. If you're a fan of crowded spaces and overpriced trinkets, then the beach's weekly street market is the place for you. Every Saturday at 6 pm, you can fight your way through the masses to sample some mediocre street food and browse through the same old handcrafted items you've seen at every other tourist trap. But hey, at least you can say you've experienced it, right?
