Ostende Beach is located on the Biscay bay (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 42th place out of 49 beaches in the Cantabria region 47.9 km away from its center, the city of Santander. It is one of the beaches of Castro Urdiales settlement, just 0.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. The beach is really lovely, peaceful and not too crowded even during peak season. There are also great options for dining with terraces nearby. Additionally, it's conveniently located near the port and town center.

The beach is quite spacious and has been artificially created. The natural surroundings are stunning, and it's a great spot for snorkeling as there are plenty of fish, octopuses, starfish, and sea ducks to see. The beach has a gentle slope, making it safe for children to play around. There are also some caves that kids can explore. The only downside is that the crushed stones used on the beach are white.
