When we visited the beach in July 2020, it looked stunning from the street. Despite the number of cars parked there, there were not many people around. The water was a beautiful turquoise blue, but shallow and with some rocks. Bath shoes are recommended, but not essential. Unfortunately, when we got into the water, we saw an abundance of plastic waste. It was everywhere on the beach, and some even in the water. It's not a place I would recommend to families with young children, as they could easily find dangerous objects among the plastic. We even noticed micro-plastic and items such as a brush and toothbrushes (yuck!). It's possible that the wind blowing from the water to the beach was the cause of this mess.
This beach near Haria is the perfect spot to take a break and relax. The scenery is gorgeous, with some homes dotting the area. My first visit was a memorable one.
It's definitely worth the journey to stop off at one of these gorgeous coves. They're usually not overly busy, so they offer the perfect opportunity to relax and soak up some sun, as well as take a quick dip in the sea.
Caleta de las Escamas is a great spot for little ones to play. The Atlantic gun keeps the water shallow and the waves are minimal. There are plenty of natural stone walls that make for a great playground. The abundance of small fish makes it a great place to learn snorkeling. I love visiting this beach on Lanzarote.
A great spot for children to splash around, with its shallow waters. However, don't expect to find much else here - it's not exactly the most remarkable place.
