Since our last visit, Playa San Juan has undergone great improvements. Now it is a delightful spot to experience South Tenerife without the hustle and bustle of the nearby resorts. The beach and boulevard are especially accessible with walk boards and a covered area for wheelchairs.
That place is a great spot for sunbathing, with easy access and plenty of protection from the wind. It's mostly visited by older people and there are lots of boats in the nearby harbour, but unfortunately there are no waves for swimming. Nevertheless, it's still a great spot for lounging in the sun and is highly recommended.
Great! The sand is soft and the stones close to the shore make it a unique experience. There is also a clean unisex toilet, and the coffee prices are fair, at 1.5 € with friendly direct beach service. Plus, parking is free and there is a lifeguard and good swimming spot. Best of all, it's easy to access, so you can enjoy it without any hassle.
Town is nice and friendly, but the beach is a bit rough. The black sand is made up of gravel and stones, so it's best to wear shoes before taking a dip in the sea. Additionally, the beach has gray sand with pebbles, so make sure to bring your shoes if you decide to go for a swim.
This location is a great spot for a peaceful day out. It has soft, sandy shores and plenty of amenities, including a lifeguard on duty. There are also restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a bite to eat. Best of all, it has steps leading up to a stunning cliff walk towards Abama, with amazing views - especially at sunset. Plus, it's easily accessible, making it a great choice for a beach day out.
