Playa del Zapillo is located on the Alboran Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 16th place out of 105 beaches in the Almeria region 2.4 km away from its center, the city of Almeria. It is one of the beaches of El Bobar settlement, just 2.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long several bays coastline with crystal blue water and bright shell sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Playa del Zapillo coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant. .
