Diaz beach is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 22th place out of 121 beaches in the Western Cape region 47.6 km away from its center, the city of Cape Town. It is one of the beaches of Redhill Informal Settlement settlement, just 18.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Diaz beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities. There are also some surf spots.

To get to the beach, you need to walk along a mountain trail about 500m long. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

This beach is simply amazing, although it requires a bit of effort to reach it as you'll need to descend 207 steps and then cross a huge dune to get there (and remember, you'll have to climb back up afterwards). But trust me, it's totally worth it. The waves are huge and powerful, which can make swimming a bit challenging during high tide, but it's also incredibly fun as the tide pushes you back towards the shore. The water is refreshingly cool, but still comfortable enough to swim in for a good while. Overall, this beach is a must-visit for anyone who loves the ocean and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get there.

When it comes to the name, whether it's Diaz or Dias Beach, it's all the same. What really matters is that this hidden gem is not to be overlooked on your Cape Point adventure. After following the signs and taking the small footpath down to the beach, you'll feel like you've discovered your own private paradise. The sand is pristine, and the views of the beach and Cape Point are simply breathtaking. Take your time, soak in the scenery, and let the sound of the waves wash over you. This spot is definitely worth a visit, and I can't wait to return with my son in October 2021.
