Although the beach requires some maintenance, it was peaceful and unoccupied during our visit. The trip to the small fort was worthwhile, but we were unable to explore the interior. The information boards provided were informative and helpful. It is unclear whether the hurricane caused the litter and landscaping issues, but the area could benefit from a thorough cleaning and landscaping.
