County beach

A tranquil and sheltered beach, conveniently located near Old San Juan and Condado hotels, awaits you. The natural rock formations act as a barrier, creating a calm and safe swimming environment. However, do note that the beach is compact, and you may find yourself in close proximity to fellow beachgoers. Be sure to come prepared for this. While there are no public restrooms or vendors, you may occasionally find private vendors with their stalls set up.

The beach was a picturesque spot to unwind, although it may not be ideal for swimming due to its occasionally rough waves. Nonetheless, it's a perfect destination to have a blast and relish some leisurely moments, particularly during sunset hours. Even after dusk, the beach is a sight to behold.

This beach is an incredible spot for snorkeling! I highly suggest arriving before 5pm to avoid the seaweed that can clutter the water. The earlier you go, the better your experience will be. During our visit, we were delighted to spot iguanas, crabs, and a plethora of fish.

The petite yet charming Playita del Condado is a hidden gem compared to its more bustling counterpart, Condado Beach. Its crystal-clear waters are perfect for snorkeling and swimming, unlike Condado Beach where strong winds make it unsafe for swimming. As soon as you cross the Puente Dos Hermanos bridge, this stunning beach greets you on the left-hand side. Although small in size, Playita del Condado compensates with its serene aquamarine waters, ideal for a refreshing dip or a leisurely swim. The shallow spots make it a safe haven for children and adults alike. For a small fee of $5, you can rent a chair and $15 for an umbrella for the whole day until 5 PM. There are no shower or bathroom facilities available, but two small food joints across the road offer snacks and beverages, with Pina Colada being the most popular one. Do remember that Playita del Condado is not to be confused with Playa Condado, which is located half a mile away from here, in front of 'The Loft Beach Front' restaurant.

The beach is pleasantly uncrowded, allowing for a peaceful and relaxing time. Moreover, it's conveniently located within walking distance from our hotel in Condado.
