During my visit to White Beach in Boracay Island, Philippines in November 2022, I found the beach to be very crowded during sunset. Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed with the experience due to the locals' negative attitude towards tourists. It seemed like they were more interested in making money from tourists than being hospitable and sharing their knowledge about the country. Every few steps, someone was trying to sell me something, like services, cheap items, massages, questionable seafood, and water sports packages. It's disappointing that such a crowded and mediocre beach has such a great reputation. However, I did find the Keyhole side of the island and Didiwid Beach to be much more relaxing and enjoyable, even though they have limited services.
I haven't been to this beach since the pandemic, but I noticed that it's much cleaner now. The sunset is still as breathtaking as ever, and the views are picturesque. I also noticed that there are more options for cheaper souvenir shops, and there are plenty of affordable and posh restaurants nearby.
This beach is amazing! It boasts a wide expanse of shoreline with numerous areas to take a dip. Additionally, the sand is beautiful and fine, with a lovely white hue.
This was my first time back at the beach since Boracay underwent renewal, and I was pleased to find the beachfront very clean and perfect for swimming and taking leisurely walks. Watching the sunset in the evening was a beautiful experience. There were plenty of activities available, such as parasailing, helmet diving, and regular diving. However, I felt like it had lost some of its charm since restaurants, music, fire dancers, and other shows are no longer allowed on the beach. In the past, it was one of my favorite experiences to sit on the beach, have a late dinner or drink, and listen to the bands or watch the fire dancers. It's a bit sad that this is no longer possible, but I think it could be allowed if they implemented rules and checked that they were being followed. Despite this, it's still a great place to relax and unwind.
During our visit, we noticed the presence of green algae near the shore which prevented us from taking a dip in the ocean. However, it's worth mentioning that the beach boasts white, fine sand.
