Lio Beach is located on the Sulu Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 34th place out of 167 beaches in the Mimaropa region 310.4 km away from its center, the city of Calapan. It is one of the beaches of Villa Libertad settlement, just 1.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Lio Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis.

Please note, that this shore has a significant low tide.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, sea kayaking.

I had the pleasure of exploring this tranquil beach on September 24th, 2022. Tucked away from the bustling main road, this hidden gem boasts a serene atmosphere with minimal crowds and crystal clear waters. If you're feeling peckish or need shelter from the occasional rain shower, a handful of cozy cafes are scattered throughout the area, offering tasty hot meals. For those seeking ultimate relaxation, beach chairs are available for lounging, while two beach volleyball courts and a few swings hanging from nearby trees offer a bit of playful activity. Restrooms are conveniently located and free of charge. Thirsty beach-goers will be pleased to find a nearby mini mart selling affordable alcoholic beverages starting at just 32 pesos. Additionally, a tricycle point is situated nearby, providing easy access to other nearby attractions. Overall, I highly recommend this beach for a laid-back and stress-free day in the sun.

The Lio beach boasts a contemporary ambiance with a plethora of restaurants dotted along the shoreline. The beach is impeccably clean, visually pleasing, and well-maintained. During our visit, we did encounter a swarm of tiny flying insects in the water and on the sand, which required constant shooing away. Nonetheless, my companions and I were fortunate enough to witness a stunning sunset during our visit since the rest of our stay in El Nido was plagued by rainy afternoons, which obscured the sunset's splendor.
