Raumati Beach is located on the Tasman Sea and it is in the 18th place out of 26 beaches in the Wellington region 44.4 km away from its center, the city of Wellington. It is one of the beaches of Paraparaumu settlement, just 2.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and gray sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth.
