Het strand is located on the North Sea and it is in the 15th place out of 56 beaches in the Netherlands region 48.9 km away from its center, the city of Amsterdam. It is one of the beaches of The Hague settlement, just 5.2 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long lasting coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

This beach is a lovely spot to savor a meal and witness the breathtaking sunset. It stays open until late, and their menu offers a delightful range of vegan and vegetarian choices. To access the other side, you can either take a bike ride or a leisurely walk, but be prepared to hike up the dunes.
