Undoubtedly, the Netherlands boasts of a beach that is nothing short of amazing. It is vast and stunningly beautiful, and the iconic Pier is visible from its shores. Nevertheless, it is important to note that during the winter, the wind can be quite strong. Similarly, in the summertime, it is a highly sought-after spot, which means that finding a free spot may prove to be a challenge.
When you find yourself in The Hague, a visit to the beach is an absolute must, particularly when the weather is in your favor. There are countless bars and restaurants where you can indulge in a refreshing drink or a delicious meal while taking in the stunning sunset views. One of my personal favorites is perching atop one of the piers, where you'll find charming little lighthouses that add to the ambiance. Trust me, visiting this beach is an experience you won't want to miss if you're looking to create unforgettable memories during your trip to Den Haag.
Our two-day excursion to the beach was nothing short of remarkable. The water was delightfully warm, and the beach was pleasantly expansive. Despite the higher-than-usual temperature, resulting in a slightly more crowded scene, we were not bothered in the slightest. For those looking for a more comfortable beach experience, beach chairs are available for rent. There are also an abundance of excellent lunch spots and a wide range of activities to participate in, including the Ferris wheel and Legoland. However, the majority of our time was spent simply relishing in the beauty of the beach. Our only complaint is that it would be greatly appreciated if visitors took more responsibility for cleaning up after themselves. We noticed an abundance of cigarette butts scattered throughout the sand and cans and plastic wrappers floating in the water.
Summer is the perfect season to explore the beach, especially during the months of May to July. Don't forget to pack your beachwear and take a dip in the refreshing sea. The breathtaking view of the sunset is a must-see, so make sure to stay until the end of the day. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from, where you can indulge in delicious seafood after spending some time playing volleyball and soaking up the sun.
This magnificent beach boasts an impeccable stretch of fine sand and is situated facing west, making it the perfect spot to catch breathtaking sunsets. Although the town may not be the most visually appealing, it has plenty to offer in comparison to other English seaside resorts. One of the highlights is the pier, which boasts a selection of top-notch bars and eateries, exuding a cool and relaxed vibe in the evening. The beach is spacious enough to accommodate numerous bars and restaurants, many of which are beautifully decorated, adding to the overall charm of the area.
