El Saltito beach is located on the Gulf of California (part of North Atlantic Ocean) and it is in the 3th place out of 133 beaches in the Baja California Sur region 20.3 km away from its center, the city of La Paz. It is one of the beaches of La Paz settlement, just 20.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, pet owners etc. It is not crowded place during the season. Please note that the area nearby is possible for wild camping.

El Saltito beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

The beach is decent, with some average snorkeling opportunities. However, my experience was dampened by a jellyfish sting, which made it less enjoyable. To access the beach, you must navigate through sand dunes, but driving onto the sand is prohibited to protect the turtles. The road leading to the beach is bumpy and in poor condition, so I would recommend using a 4x4 vehicle. Despite its proximity to La Paz, there are many superior beaches nearby. Ultimately, I do not believe that the 40-minute drive to this beach is worth it.

The beach is simply breathtaking, nestled in a secluded cove with crystal clear waters and picturesque rocks that make for excellent snorkeling. Upon our arrival on a Friday morning, we found the beach to be delightfully uncrowded, with only a small group of four people present. However, it is worth noting that the beach is home to a fair number of sand flies, and I unfortunately fell victim to their bites. My boyfriend was only bitten a few times, but as someone who is often targeted by bugs, I would recommend bringing bug spray to keep them at bay.

This beach is a sight to behold, with its stunning views and lack of amenities. We made the mistake of venturing out at night to witness the mesmerizing plankton lights, only to be disappointed by the elusive half-moon. And let's not forget the treacherous road leading to the beach, which is in dire need of repair. If you're feeling adventurous, go ahead and attempt to navigate the muddy terrain without a 4x4. But don't say we didn't warn you.
