Although we had heard that turtles could be spotted here in the morning, we arrived at around 10am and were unable to find any parking. We returned later in the day and while the car park was almost empty, the beach was still quite crowded. We can't say for sure what it's like in the morning, but we expect it to be quite busy. We went snorkelling at sunset and saw some beautiful fish on a small reef. Overall, we would recommend coming early in the morning if you want to see turtles, otherwise, you may have a better experience at another beach.
The beach is absolutely stunning and it was an incredible experience to swim alongside a turtle. 😍
This beach is quite well-known in this part of town, mainly because it's a great spot to see turtles. As a result, it can get quite crowded in the mornings, similar to the beaches in Benidorm, Spain. Even though we arrived at 09:20, we had to park our car 500m away and struggled to find a spot to lay our towels due to the number of families with children. However, after 11:30, many people started leaving. The water is crystal clear and the sand is soft, making it a popular spot for snorkeling, especially on the right side. You can grab some sandwiches and local specialties from a nearby vendor, but the restaurant with tables was closed when we visited in April.
The beach is stunning, but be aware that it can get quite crowded with tourists on the weekends despite its small size. The pictures were captured before 9:45 am on a Sunday.
This beach is really lovely, possibly the top choice on the southwest side of Martinique. It's important to arrive early though, as parking can be an issue if you don't. You might even spot some turtles while you're here, and it's a great spot to spend a day. Although the beach is on the smaller side, it has a cozy feel to it. Plus, there's a small bistro downstairs if you need to grab anything.
