Velaa Beach is located on the Laccadive Sea (part of Indian ocean) and it is in the 18th place out of 21 beaches in the Lhaviyani region 0.5 km away from its center, the city of Naifaru. It is one of the beaches of Naifaru settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and white sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

A perfect spot to enjoy a delightful barbeque with your loved ones, this beach offers a serene ambiance with the salty aroma and the soothing melody of waves. Due to the two alternating monsoons, the sand tends to shift towards the east or the west, creating a dynamic shoreline. Despite the ever-changing coastline and the occasional strong water currents, this beach remains an ideal destination for indulging in thrilling activities such as snorkeling and other beach sports.
