Merakit Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 28th place out of 40 beaches in the Sabah region 49.7 km away from its center, the city of Kota Kinabalu. It is one of the beaches of Kg. Pengkalan Peturu settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Merakit Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, beach restaurant, toilets. .

The beach facing Pandan Pandan Island is a magnificent spot where tourists from Usukan Cove Lodge can unwind while having their lunch before returning to the lodge by boat. The area is well-maintained and kept immaculate, with clean hammocks that are only set up when visitors arrive and removed for day-trip use. There are numerous hammocks and lunch tables available, as well as swings for added relaxation. Additionally, there are canoes and kayaks ready for leisure use, with water depth perfect for children to paddle on their own. The attentive staff is always on hand to assist guests and ensure their safety. Before departing, guests can participate in coral planting and release it into the sea, making for a memorable experience. To top it all off, a friendly tree-climbing cat is there to welcome visitors.
