Batu Luang Beach is located on the South China Sea (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 23th place out of 40 beaches in the Sabah region 78.8 km away from its center, the city of Kota Kinabalu. It is one of the beaches of Kg. Wangkang settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a straight coastline with turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Batu Luang Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

This beach is absolutely stunning. If you're in search of a clean and picturesque spot for a photo, I highly recommend checking it out. The view is truly breathtaking. However, I'm unsure if they've added a restroom since my last visit. If you're bringing children, be sure to keep them away from the rocks as it may not be the safest spot for them.

The beach is a picturesque destination that is easily accessible. During our visit in early September 2022, we noticed some construction work being carried out to enhance the area's accessibility and usability. A concrete stairway leads down to the beach, offering a stunning view of the landmark stones and the beach. Exploring the beach is a must, and once you pass the two large stones, you'll be greeted by a pristine and breathtakingly beautiful shoreline. It's definitely worth the effort to explore this hidden gem. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of local fishermen using a unique, traditional fishing method. Overall, this is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for a scenic and peaceful beach experience.

While it may seem like just another ordinary beach in the Tempurung area, with the help of a skilled photographer, you can turn it into a beautiful backdrop for your photoshoot. Keep in mind that this beach may not offer anything out of the ordinary, but with a little creativity and a good eye, you can create some truly memorable moments. So, don't expect too much, but don't underestimate the potential of this beach either.

The path to the beach is rough and hazardous due to erosion, especially during the evening when it gets hot. While the view is decent and the beach is clean, there are numerous boulders and rocks of cobble size, making it unsuitable for children to play and run around.
