Pasir Panjang Beach is located on the Malacca Strait and it is in the 13th place out of 24 beaches in the Kedah region 69.7 km away from its center, the city of Alor Setar. It is one of the beaches of Tanjung Rhu settlement, just 2.5 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade. This beach is not a well-known place, so it is well suited for a relaxing leisure.

It is a spacious bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Pasir Panjang Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

Avoid visiting this beach as it is not well-maintained and littered with plastic waste. Our unpleasant experience involved removing glass bottles, some of which were shattered, from the water.
