Gasa Camellia Forest Beach is located on the Sea of Japan (part of Pacific ocean) and it is in the 3th place out of 24 beaches in the South Jeolla region 62.2 km away from its center, the city of Jindo-eup. It is one of the beaches of Deugam-ri settlement, just 2.1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Gasa Camellia Forest Beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

Gasa Camellia Forest Beach, situated at the southern tip of Yaksan-myeon, is enveloped by numerous ancient camellia trees, silver magnolias, and ash chestnut trees. Despite its small size, this beach offers the opportunity to frolic in the water and indulge in the serene ambiance of the surrounding forest. Originally known as Gasa Beach, it was later renamed Gasa Camellia Forest Beach due to the abundance of camellia flowers that paint the sea red during March. While it may be a charming spot for a leisurely drive, the wide tidal flats make it less suitable for swimming compared to other beaches in Namhae.
