Chilpo Beach is located on the Sea of Japan (East Sea) and it is in the 2th place out of 30 beaches in the North Gyeongsang region 33 km away from its center, the city of Yeongdeok-eup. It is one of the beaches of Heung-an-ri settlement, just 1 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a long lasting coastline with blue water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is not crowded place during the season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Chilpo Beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, sun umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets, sea pool. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.
