Messina Marmora is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 31th place out of 109 beaches in the Messina region 10.8 km away from its center, the city of Messina. It is one of the beaches of Rodia settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Messina side of the Tyrrhenian coast offers a typical beach experience, with nothing more or less than what you would expect. The beach is free and quite spacious. Although the shower at the spot I visited was not working properly, there was another one a bit further away, which I should have used earlier. Along the road, there are cafes, and we decided to go to a nearby pizzeria where we had a great time. I would suggest getting your pizza to go and enjoying it on the beach. The sunset, while only showcasing Lipari, is still magnificent, as expected on the Tyrrhenian coast. Overall, I highly recommend this beach.
