Capo Calava beach is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 1th place out of 109 beaches in the Messina region 56.3 km away from its center, the city of Messina. It is one of the beaches of Calava settlement, just 0.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and gray fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. The beach is beautiful and the sea is stunning, but unfortunately, the food quality is not up to par. Additionally, it tends to be quite windy.

The staff at the beach are wonderful, and there are plenty of activity options available. The buffet food and choices are superior to those of other resorts I have visited. Additionally, the private beach is quite pleasant.

I would rate this beach experience as zero stars. The scenery is nice, but the service at the beach restaurant is absolutely terrible. Expect to wait for more than an hour just for a pizza, for instance. What's worse is that nobody seems to care. The whole place is disorganized, with people sitting at the same table waiting for an hour while others at the same table are being served. Believe me, it's better to bring your own food.
