It is one of the beaches of Quartiere Matteotti settlement, just 3.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Although not the most stunning beach in the vicinity of Palermo, this beach is still a pleasant spot to visit. I particularly enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, as well as the friendly locals who were present. Additionally, the view of the mountains at sunset was truly breathtaking.

The beach is less crowded compared to Mondello, and though it may be rocky, the water is deeper and more pleasant to swim in. It is undoubtedly a superior option to Mondello.

The beach offers a breathtaking blend of pebbles and sand, with the sea characterized by a steep shelf and rough waves. Despite this, the water is a delightful shade of blue and perfect for swimming. The only downside is the presence of broken glass and litter on the beach, which detracts from the overall experience. Additionally, the locals are not particularly welcoming to tourists, a regrettable departure from Palermo's reputation for hospitality.
