Cala Grottazza is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 34th place out of 76 beaches in the Trapani region 27.1 km away from its center, the city of Trapani. It is one of the beaches of Zarbo di Mare settlement, just 2.9 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The entrance to the water is quite sharp. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Cala Grottazza is fully occupied by beach clubs with restricted entrance. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities, snorkeling.

This beach is easily accessible, it is located very close to road. Parking is located directly on the beach.

Unfortunately, access to the beach is restricted to hotel guests only, so it's important to be aware of this before attempting to visit.

The last week of September was amazing at this beach because there were no crowds. However, the weather was a bit unsteady with occasional rain and wind. If the waves were a bit rough, swimming was not possible. Despite this, the location was still amazing and I loved it. I wouldn't recommend going during peak season as I cannot imagine it being crowded.
