We were left in awe by the sheer beauty of this beach in Sicily. The stunning cliffs, sparkling sea, and majestic mountains all combine to create a truly breathtaking view. Despite the €10 parking fee (which was reasonable for October), the added bonus of receiving a garbage bag with our receipt was a thoughtful touch. It's clear that the National Park takes great care in maintaining the cleanliness of this beach, and we were grateful to be able to enjoy its pristine beauty.
The cost of parking at the beach is €20, but fear not, there is a bar conveniently located near the shore where refreshing water can be purchased for just €1 per 0.5 liter and Messina beer for €2.5. If you're feeling adventurous, take a leisurely 10-minute stroll to the right of the beach and you'll discover a picturesque spot perfect for cliff diving!
This beach is undoubtedly one of the most stunning we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The parking fee is a reasonable 6€, and there's even a hiking trail for those who are feeling a little more adventurous. It's important to note that cash is the only accepted form of payment, and parking rates may fluctuate.
The beach located in Avola is undoubtedly one of my top picks. The southern end of the beach boasts a rocky headland that leads to breathtaking views of the cliffs and vast sea on the left, while the right side offers a picturesque sight of flower meadows and majestic mountains. The northern part of the beach is adorned with a beautiful estuary where the river from Cava Grande merges with the sea. Further up, one can explore the second world war gun emplacement and a rugged headland. The beach is fringed with tiny trees and is a magnificent stretch of sand that adds to its charm.
The cost of parking at the beach is quite steep, with a full day costing 20 euros, half day (after 3pm) costing 10 euros, and a late afternoon visit (after 6pm) costing 5 euros. While the beach is certainly pleasant, I don't believe it offers anything particularly exceptional. Additionally, it's worth noting that the sun moves behind the surrounding buildings quite early in the day, so shade may be limited.
