In April 2023, just a short distance from Cala Croce, you can find Cala Madonna beach. This beach features a mix of light sand and rocks, with a reed thicket behind it. During my visit at the end of April, the kiosk was about to open, offering beach amenities. Accessible via two stairways that are easy to navigate, this beach is great for families and protected from the southwest wind. Cala Madonna beach in Lampedusa is a beautiful spot with crystal clear waters ranging from cobalt blue to turquoise. The beach is not very large, but the inlet provides shelter on windy days. You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas at the kiosk, or enjoy a refreshing drink and delicious food. To reach the beach, take the left turn towards Cala Croce and follow the path for a few hundred meters until you reach a detour. Turn right to reach Cala Madonna beach. The shallow waters make it perfect for families with children, and it is located within the Lampedusa Nature Reserve. Don't miss out on a relaxing day at this lovely beach!
The beach is very beautiful and small, with not too many people, making it perfect for paddle-boarding.
It was really crowded, so we had to get there early in the morning to secure a spot on the rocks.
Love !!!
The water at this beach is fantastic, just like the rest of the island. It's fairly easy to access, unless you have difficulty with mobility. Some of the steps leading down to the beach can be a bit challenging to navigate. The sand here is not my favorite - it's fine grain with pebbles, making it feel like walking barefoot on a construction site. Personally, I find it unpleasant, especially with my sensitive city feet. However, the nearby bar-cafe eatery is lovely and well-equipped, making it easy to spend the whole day without having to leave.
