Santa Marinella beach is located on the Tyrrhenian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 8th place out of 74 beaches in the Rome region 53.9 km away from its center, the city of Roma. It is one of the beaches of Santa Marinella settlement, just 0.6 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a small bay with blue water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Santa Marinella beach is fully occupied by beach clubs with restricted entrance. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. The beach is lovely, but unfortunately the surrounding area is not well-maintained. It's advisable to bring your own food as the facilities may not be up to standard. It's best to steer clear of the restroom, and if you do use the shower, be cautious.

The staff at the beach were extremely friendly. Although the beach had brown sand, it could have been a bit cleaner, but given that it was peak season with a high influx of people, it's understandable why it wasn't spotless.

In my opinion, the management of the beach during the summer of 2018 was the worst I have experienced in the past ten years. The organization was poor, the staff was impolite, and the placement of the umbrellas was extremely cramped. I am hoping that a different concessionaire will be in charge for the summer of 2019.
