Kamari beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 106th place out of 504 beaches in the Ioanian Islands region 152 km away from its center, the city of Corfu. It is one of the beaches of Zola settlement, just 1.4 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and light fine pebble, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season. Moreover, this beach is popular with naturists.

This beach, which is supposedly the best on the island, fails to impress me. The only way to reach it is by boat, which is an inconvenience in itself. Moreover, the fact that there is a place for barbecuing doesn't make up for the lack of other amenities. In my opinion, this beach is far from lovely and not worth the trouble of getting there.
