Lourdas beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 153th place out of 504 beaches in the Ioanian Islands region 178.9 km away from its center, the city of Corfu. It is one of the beaches of Lourdata settlement, just 0.5 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a long bay with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

Lourdas beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. The beach was truly breathtaking, and I can only fathom how incredible it must be during the summer months. Despite visiting in November, we still had a blast. We took a swim just before a storm rolled in and were pleasantly surprised by the water's warmth - it was nearly as balmy as the Caribbean! The waves were quite sizable, and we had a blast getting knocked off our feet. While some folks were surfing, we were content to simply soak up the beauty of the surroundings.

As I spent more time soaking up the sun on Lourdata beach, I found myself falling in love with its charm. While it may not boast the crystal-clear waters of some of the other beaches on Kefalonia, its long and narrow stretch of sand exudes a laid-back and traditional vibe that is hard to resist. The beachfront is dotted with a variety of bars and restaurants, and it was easy to see that many visitors were happily enjoying a drink or meal there. For those feeling adventurous, a 40-minute walk along the beach will lead you to the Sissia old monastery, a fascinating site where ruins are being restored and worked on. Parking is plentiful and easy to find, though the steep hill leading down to the beach may prove challenging for some. But with its unique blend of natural beauty and traditional charm, Lourdata beach is definitely worth a visit.
