Upon arriving at this stunning island, the initial beach that catches your eye is a true gem. The water is a pristine, transparent blue and pleasantly warm to the touch. This island is truly a slice of paradise, as long as visitors respect the tranquil atmosphere. There are both sandy and rocky areas along the beach, providing a diverse landscape for exploration. It is recommended to bring along supplies such as food and water to fully enjoy your time at this idyllic location.
Ah, the beautiful beaches of Crete. Crystal clear waters, soft sand, and endless sunshine. It's like paradise on Earth. But let's be real, it's just a bunch of water and sand. Sure, it's nice to lay out and soak up some sun, but after a while, it gets boring. And don't even get me started on the crowds of tourists. Good luck finding a spot to lay your towel without someone's sweaty body touching yours. It's overrated, really.
While the beach is nice, I must admit that there are other destinations that offer a more fulfilling experience. It's worth noting that the location is near Africa, and at times, you may experience poor network coverage and hear unfamiliar languages. It's best to inform your loved ones of your whereabouts. However, it's worth mentioning that LTE coverage is now available. The shoreline is rocky, so it's advisable to wear water shoes. The deck chairs are quite pricey, so bringing your own towels is recommended. Despite these minor drawbacks, the beach is undeniably stunning. In my opinion, it's one of the most popular destinations among Polish tourists. The journey involves a bus ride followed by a boat ride that takes approximately an hour and a half. The boat ride includes a buffet and ice cream, and card payments are accepted. There are toilets and a bar on board. I recommend renting a car and visiting other beaches such as Vai beach for a more diverse experience.
Great place
Chrysi, also known as Chrissi or Donkey Island, is a charming and uninhabited Greek island situated in the Libyan Sea, just 15 km south of Crete near Ierapetra. The island spans a length of five kilometers and a width of one kilometer, with an average altitude of 10 meters. The name Chrysi, which translates to golden, is fitting as the island boasts stunning yellow sand beaches and crystal-clear waters. The shallow waters surrounding the island make it a hotspot for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
