It is one of the beaches of Gerani settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors, partygoers etc. It is not crowded place during the season.

The beach is absolutely delightful with its mixture of sand and stones. The water is a sight to behold when it's calm, but it can be quite tumultuous at times, so it's important to exercise caution. If you're arriving in Chania or Heraklion, head east for some excitement or west for tranquility. Taking the bus may take longer, but it's a fair price. Gerani Old Village is a great spot to make your base, while Platanias offers good restaurants but can be a bit noisy. Avoid July and August due to the humidity and crowds. Instead, opt for a flight any other time and find a room upon arrival, making sure to inspect it thoroughly before committing. The bay is vast, with Chania to the right and the Rodopou peninsula to the west, backed by the White Mountains. The food is incredible, and the island boasts stunning architecture, archaeology, and scenery. Easter brings a breathtaking display of wildflowers, and numerous monasteries welcome visitors, many with wartime histories. Offshore, Theadorou Island is home to the Kri Kri, an almost extinct Ibex species. Crete holds a special place in the heart of this reviewer, who has visited three times and believes it has the power to change lives for those open to its magic.
