Atherina beach is located on the Mediterranean Sea and it is in the 398th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 46.7 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Asprolithos settlement, just 2 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs. This beach is not a well-known place, so it is well suited for a relaxing leisure.

It is a small bay with turquoise water and gray sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

The picturesque cove is a sight to behold. With only a handful of people around, it offers a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The rocky terrain around the beach is perfect for snorkeling and exploring the underwater world. However, it is advisable to wear sturdy footwear while walking down the steep and uneven path leading to the beach.

The beach was indeed quite a sight to behold. The water was so clear that you could see right through it. We had the entire place to ourselves, which made it feel like our own personal haven. The route to get there was a breeze, so I would definitely suggest checking it out.
