Almyros beach is located on the Sea of Crete (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 25th place out of 478 beaches in the Crete region 10.7 km away from its center, the city of Kastelli. It is one of the beaches of Ammoudara settlement, just 1.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious bay with crystal blue water and brown sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Almyros beach coast is free for all. This beach has the following amenities, loungers and umbrellas, changing rooms. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. This area has also a water park in the sea with various inflatable toys which constitute excellent activities for parents and children. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.
