Agathopes beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 146th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 8.5 km away from its center, the city of Ermoupoli. It is one of the beaches of Komito settlement, just 0.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, families with children, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Agathopes beach is fully occupied by beach clubs with restricted entrance. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Their list includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. There is also possible to take different water activities such as catamarans or jet skis. Daily boat rental service is located nearby. During the season this beach line is supervised by a lifeguard.

If you seek a serene spot to take a refreshing dip in crystal-clear waters, this beach is the perfect destination for you. It boasts an array of bars and restaurants in close proximity, and offers complimentary showers to rinse off the salt from your skin, as well as changing rooms to change in and out of your swimsuit. For those who prefer a more shaded experience, there is a paid section where you can rent umbrellas, or alternatively, there is a free section where you can bring your own beach gear. While the parking section may be limited, it is sufficient for the beach's capacity.

During our recent trip to Greece, we visited many beaches, but this one stood out as my favorite. It was conveniently accessible, had crystal clear water, and offered a variety of dining options. Additionally, it appeared to be protected from strong winds, which kept the water calm even when neighboring beaches were choppy.

Out of all the beaches in Syros, this one is my favorite. I've visited all the others, but this one takes the cake. The water is absolutely stunning and there are even free umbrellas available. Even on windy days, the waves are minimal, making it perfect for families with young children as the water is shallow at the beginning.

It's a great place to spend a day lounging under the sun, swimming, or simply taking in the stunning scenery. The beach is absolutely beautiful with soft sand and crystal clear turquoise water. The water is quite shallow, making it perfect for swimming and wading.
