It is one of the beaches of Krotiri settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. The water is a stunning shade of blue and the beach is well-maintained. During peak season, it can get quite busy, but it's still accessible from Parikia without a car. All you have to do is take the ferry across the harbor, which only costs a few euros.

The beach offers a lovely expanse of sand and is a manageable 15-20 minute walk from the town center. The water is crystal clear, although the prices at the beach club are a bit steep. For instance, a sunbed can set you back 50€.
