Trachia beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 455th place out of 1022 beaches in the South Aegean region 272.3 km away from its center, the city of Ermoupoli. It is one of the beaches of Chorio settlement, just 0.7 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, surrounded by the cliffs. This beach is not a well-known place, so it is well suited for a relaxing leisure.

It is a small several bays coastline with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Our day trip, courtesy of Captain Yiannis, was a true delight, as we were able to bask in the natural shadows and explore the intriguing caves that dot the coastline. This is a must-visit destination for anyone who yearns for a solitary escape into a world of unbridled beauty and tranquility.

The beach is quite uneven with an abundance of rocks on one side, making it a bit challenging to navigate. On the other hand, the opposite side is even more difficult to access, presenting a considerable obstacle.

Don't let the enticing pictures deceive you. Although there are glimpses of natural splendor, the beach is predominantly rocky on one side and partially sandy on the other. The sandy section is littered with driftwood and conceivably even a damaged dock. Regardless, you'll need to disembark from your vessel and swim to reach the shore. Have a wonderful time!
