Alexandroupolis beach is located on the Thrace Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 114th place out of 185 beaches in the Thrace region 48.5 km away from its center, the city of Komotini. It is one of the beaches of Nea Chele settlement, just 2.4 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area.

It is a spacious coastline with crystal turquoise water and light sand & pebble cover, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, seniors etc. It is partially crowded during the high season. There is a campsite located nearby.

Despite the fact that a significant part of the beach is occupied by resorts, there is still a fairly large area with free access. The beach facilities are only available to visitors of resort area. Although the camping site could use some renovation and additional services, we still enjoy it. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a restaurant available for almost three years now. The sea is great with shallow, brown sand. When the weather is cloudy, it appears shady. However, in June, you can indulge in an abundance of fruit from the surrounding trees. The site is open year-round and 24/7, making it feel like a home away from home.
