Red rocks beach is located on the Aegean Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 148th place out of 185 beaches in the Thrace region 94.9 km away from its center, the city of Komotiní. It is one of the beaches of Nea Erakleitsa settlement, just 1.8 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place with very picturesque views, among the mountains, surrounded by the cliffs.

It is a small bay with crystal turquoise water and bright sand & rocks cover, so you don't need special shoes. The entrance to the water is very smooth. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers, hikers etc. It is almost deserted place even during the high season.

Red rocks beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

To get to the beach, you need to drive along a dirt road about 2km long. Parking is located at some distance, within 300 meters.

The beach is absolutely stunning with its natural beauty. In the morning, there is shade available, making it quite pleasant. It's an ideal spot for swimming and spending a considerable amount of time. However, the unfortunate downside is that there is litter scattered everywhere. Fortunately, a local individual took the initiative to collect a bag full of rubbish during his boat tour and disposed of it properly. If everyone followed suit and carried a small plastic bag of trash with them, this place would definitely be worth visiting for years to come.

The beach and the scenery are absolutely stunning, although reaching the exact location indicated on the map with a regular car is not possible. You can park your vehicle at the top and proceed on foot, unless you have an all-terrain vehicle.

The beach is absolutely beautiful and can only be reached by boat. It might be possible to walk there, but it would take a very long time. The water is so clear and pristine, indicating that it hasn't been visited by many people recently. Sadly, there is some litter left behind by others, but I took the initiative to clean up as much as I could with a plastic bag. Hopefully, in the future, people will be more mindful and considerate when they visit such a natural place.
