Tainaro beach is located on the Ionian Sea (part of Mediterranean Sea) and it is in the 299th place out of 401 beaches in the Peloponnese region 123.4 km away from its center, the city of Tripoli. It is one of the beaches of Kokkinogeia settlement, just 0.3 km from its center. The beach is located in a natural place, among the mountains.

It is a tiny bay with crystal turquoise water and light pebble, so it is recommended to wear special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. This beach is suitable for different categories of people, lonely travellers, relaxation getaway lovers etc. It is partially crowded during the high season.

Tainaro beach coast is free for all. It has no amenities, only nature. .

In addition to swimming and sunbathing, you can also take part in other activities.

Getting to the beach is quite simple: just take a short walk along the trail. Parking is located directly on the beach.

The beach is truly exceptional with crystal clear waters that are absolutely amazing. When you venture up to the lighthouse for a hike, you simply must take a refreshing dip in the ocean upon returning.

As you drive down the narrow road towards the southern end of mainland Greece, the dry landscape makes you feel like you're at the edge of the world. However, as you approach the final parking area, you'll catch sight of the stunning turquoise waters and the start of the hiking path to Cape Tainaro. It's a truly impressive sight! Unfortunately, we visited during the middle of the day when it was too hot to attempt the hike to the cape tip and lighthouse.
