When making arrangements with the owner, exercise caution as he tends to prioritize maximizing profits. The beach itself is pleasant, but the owner's demeanor is impolite.
The camping site near Athens is really nice, offering good and clean facilities. They have a good restaurant and beach bar with reasonable prices. However, one drawback is that the tent space is quite small, and there are a lot of uphill areas to reach most places, so I wouldn't really recommend it for families.
The camping site is in a peaceful location with a beautiful panoramic view. On top of that, there is a camping tavern that serves delicious Greek food. Down by the beach, there is a small beach bar surrounded by tall, ancient palm trees that provide a lovely shade. It feels like being in paradise.
The setting was stunning with fantastic views, yet the experience was marred by the unpleasant demeanor of the owners. Upon arrival, we were immediately cautioned twice about prohibiting our dog from accessing the beach and water. My expressing disagreement over this rule seemed to irritate the owner. They then quoted a fee of 30 euros for two tents, two people, and one car. Considering this high, we decided to explore a bit before committing. Returning in the afternoon, we agreed to stay. They took my ID for registration, informing me payment was due at checkout, and retained my ID, giving me a vague map of the campsite, which lacked clear signage. Navigating the campsite proved challenging, with no clear indications of lot numbers. Even after seeking assistance and encountering the owner, the lots remained elusive. We opted to dine at the campsite taverna first. Post-dinner, we again sought the owner's guidance, but he refused to personally show us the way, only providing verbal directions. Eventually, we located our spot, which was too cramped for two tents, but we were too exhausted and it was too dark to seek an alternative. The site lacked promised amenities like electricity, spot lighting, and Wi-Fi. Upon checkout, we argued against being charged for two tents when provided space for only one, and questioned the car charge given the distant parking and closed gate that forced us to park outside. The owner, upon hearing our complaints, became irate, falsely accusing us of initially requesting space for only one tent. His father made an absurd comment about not being able to place multiple tents on a single lot, which seemed ridiculous given the cramped conditions of the campsite. The situation escalated with the owner angrily demanding 24 euros, suggesting we go to the police, and aggressively handling the POS machine. We left feeling deeply disappointed, advising them to adopt a more polite and open-minded approach to customer service and criticism.
The beach is absolutely stunning, with a well-maintained and tidy environment. It offers fantastic camping spots, and the taverna serves a variety of fresh and delicious food. The beach bar is also great, with friendly staff and a wide range of treats like ice cream, chips, and coffee. Moreover, the sea is clean and pleasantly warm. I will definitely return to this amazing place.
