The beach is absolutely amazing. The views are breathtaking, with charming old buildings and enjoyable walks leading to the cliffs. We were fortunate to have the perfect weather during our visit, and the unedited pictures truly capture the beauty of the place.
Located near the charming town of Étretat, this beach is truly stunning, providing an incredible vantage point of the cliffs. Composed of smooth, wave-polished pebbles, it offers visitors the opportunity to take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline or unwind at one of the restaurants, all while marveling at the view that has inspired countless famous impressionist paintings. Additionally, there are numerous water activities to partake in.
We had a fantastic time spending the whole day at the beach in beautiful Etraret. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, and a wide range of dining options to choose from. I stumbled upon a small library where both kids and adults can take a break from the sun and enjoy some reading time. Additionally, I highly recommend taking a short walk to the top of the hills to admire the breathtaking views. Just a reminder, the beach is made of stones, so keep that in mind if you plan on spending the entire day there. Also, exercise caution when it comes to kids swimming, as the waters can be quite strong. I hope you have as much enjoyment in Etraret as we did.
This beach is absolutely amazing and it's conveniently located just 2.5-3 hours away from Paris!! I highly recommend bringing water shoes or comfortable sandals as the beach is covered in stones. Additionally, they offer water sports rentals, and I opted for a 2-hour guided kayak tour which cost €30 per person. We got to explore all the different areas of the beach, and it was definitely worth it! Moreover, there are plenty of restaurants around, so you don't have to worry about finding something to eat after a tiring day of water sports.
This place is simply amazing. The tall cliffs, nearly white in color, overlook the beautiful blue sea below. There are natural bridges that span across the shore, adding to the allure of this location. It's no surprise that this place has captivated people for thousands of years. Now, some important information: There are only a limited number of parking spots available for caravans. It's recommended to arrive early to secure one before they are taken by smaller vehicles. The path stretches for a few kilometers, so it's advisable to bring snacks and drinks. While there are fences in various areas, it's important to keep a close eye on children. Overall, the path is relatively easy to walk from start to finish.
