Playa El Portillo is located on the Atlantic ocean and it is in the 66th place out of 246 beaches in the Dominican Republic region 103.8 km away from its center, the city of Santo Domingo. It is one of the beaches of Manantial settlement, just 1.9 km from its center. The beach is located in an urban area with very picturesque views. It is partially covered by trees which give natural shade.

It is a long lasting coastline with crystal turquoise water and pure bright fine sand, so you don't need special shoes. The sharpness of entering the water is quite normal. I am absolutely smitten with this beach! It has quickly become my top pick in the Dominican Republic. The crystal-clear waters are teeming with vibrant marine life, and the soft sand is perfect for lounging and soaking up the sun. I couldn't resist snapping some photos of the cute crabs scuttling along the shore. The coconut palms sway gently in the ocean breeze, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. I simply can't get enough of this paradise!
